Meet Denise Foster

Denise was referred to Project HIRED by her physician soon after experiencing significant life and health challenges. When she enrolled in the program, she found a sense of drive in the workshops and her work with her Career Counselor.

Denise describes her overall experience as very helpful and supportive. She said, “I liked the classes because you can tell that they care about their clientele. They really care about your self-esteem.”

Denise was placed into a position as a Call Center Operator at the Palo Alto VA Medical Center. In this role, she is part of a team that answers thousands of calls from Veterans every month.
